Villages are some of the most bustling, lively places in right click on a villager and you can trade with them, offering them emeralds in exchange for better equipment, maps to notable treasures or food. Villagers will also behave different depending on their job.
They will try to go to a block beside the job site or i assume that other workstations can also be one block below a villager but haven't tested it.
